Off Island...

People ask all sorts of questions when they visit.  One topic: How often does one leave the Island? When was the last time "off the Island"? There are people who consider it a badge of honor as to how long they have been here.... Husband Lew would fall into that category. I tend to venture off on a fairly regular basis.  There are a few things that are a challenge to find here. New movies can fall into that category.  The other day, while off for a couple of days, I enjoyed a recently released film and considered it quite a treat. We do have Internet, satelite, and Netflix so viewing movies is possible...the Door County Interlibrary Loan is pretty great too. This Spring, Trueblood Performing Arts Center started to show films. It's a nice addition to happenings here.... The next one is Hunger Games on Saturday, September 2. Okay, so it is PG-13. I suggest Googling the book/movie to make an informed decision. Thanks to the TPAC for adding Movies to their performance schedule!

Reading over this post, it seems the TPAC is the place to be this week - well almost! It is true the Trueblood Performing Arts Center is back in action and that is nice to see .... I do enjoy a trip Off Island once in a while ... I think in some ways, I think it allows me to appreciate the Island even more. Enjoy your week!
