Feels so good...finally!
I came up with this thought about a month ago ... the photo is from April 18. While Spring is always a gradual thing here, patience was necessary ... really necessary ... this year on the Island.
This Memorial Weekend was our reward ... it did not disappoint! Maybe a little late seasonal green isn't a bad idea ... many folks were able to see trillium ...

Once the Cottage yard was put into shape, Lew had time to get Mockingbird ready.
Nothing makes Lew happier than messing about with boats...even on land.
The hostas are starting, too. 
This cartoon from the New Yorker this week made me pause and think. Take a breath and observe what Nature has to offer.
