There has been increased activity this past week on Plum Island and Lew's photos are too good not to share.
Mockingbird and USFW boat Phoebe have been busy ferrying not one but two crews over to Plum lately. There are roofs to be refurbished.
First, the Robert Noble was called on to transport the equipment et al.
It was a beautiful ride!
Always fun to bring a boat into a locale where it doesn't often dock.
Landing ...
The fun begins.
These guys set up shop quickly. Weather was moving in.
Making plans.
Sizing up the job. This is only one crew. There is more going on on the other side of Plum. As progress continues, follow the island mettle and the Friends of Plum and Pilot Islands Facebook Pages for news/images of work on the keepers quarters and more!
This photo was taken during the sunset cruise in July. Things will look a bit different on the 2018 cruise!
..... til next time!
